Fund raising shoots

The club has a wood and releases pheasants in it which allows 4 or 5 fundraising shoots to be held each season with the bag varying from 15 to 60 head.

It is a single drive carried out by a beater line with 3 walking guns on each side of the wood which lasts about 2 hours with birds being flushed throughout.  There is a flight pond at the start of the drive which has up to 150 teal and mallard on it.

Shoots can be booked by a group of 8 guns or lesser numbers can be accommodated by combining groups/individuals.

The proceeds from the shoots is used to purchase land and sporting rights for the club.

We usually offer a shoot in our biannual auction which can be combined with a duck flight. On 15th Jan 2019 the guns from Lincolnshire achieved 27 head in the shoot and then 15 head on their duck flight.
